Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted in CashJot for iPhone, iPad, and any other devices, as well as our website at cashjot.com.

Our stance on privacy

We believe your financial data belongs strictly to you. CashJot does not require user accounts, sign-ups, or bank logins. We do not collect identifiable personal information, we do not embed advertising trackers or data broker SDKs in the app, and we never sell your data.

Your data and storage

All transactions, tags, categories, and budgets you enter in CashJot reside strictly on your device and in your personal Apple iCloud account (CloudKit). All features—including Apple Pay Shortcuts capture, Face ID app lock, bill reminders, and widgets—run locally on your hardware. We do not run servers that store or process your financial entries, and we have no technical means to view your data.

Third-party services

Apple processes app downloads, in-app purchases, and iCloud sync. If you opt in to share diagnostics in iOS Settings, Apple shares anonymised, aggregated crash and usage reports with us to help fix bugs. The CashJot iOS app contains no third-party analytics SDKs.

We use RevenueCat for anonymous in-app purchase validation to manage CashJot Plus subscriptions. When a purchase occurs, RevenueCat receives an anonymous user token, purchase timestamp, country, and product ID. No names, payment card numbers, or transaction logs are sent. More details are available in RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Our website at cashjot.com uses Google Analytics 4 to see general traffic patterns (such as page views and approximate region). IP addresses are discarded after coarse location is determined. Website traffic is never linked to in-app users, and no in-app data is sent to Google. You can opt out using browser controls, an ad blocker, or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Your data control and deletion

You can export your data to a CSV file from the app's settings (available with CashJot Plus), or delete individual entries inside the app at any time. To permanently delete all data, simply delete the app from your device and remove CashJot from your iCloud storage in iOS Settings (Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → CashJot).

Children's privacy

CashJot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may occasionally update this privacy policy. Any changes will be posted here on this page.
